"Wine of the Week. A few wine companies can now claim to make Marlborough sauvignon blanc as good as the Cloudy Bay, but this remains the icon sauvignon, the one to be found in the specialist wine shops in the financial heart of London and the one served abroad when the host wishes to impress. It retains its individual style too. It has the usual passionfruit and citrus aromas and flavours with a bit of green capsicum on the nose as well, and something of a herbal flavour. It is balanced, rich and concentrated, with excellent length and finish."

What one might call a “correct” Sauvignon Blanc."

以长相思享誉全球的马尔堡是新西兰最大的葡萄酒生产地区，拥有约65座酒厂，290个葡萄种植园，以及4000多公顷葡萄种植面积，主要种植长相思、黑品乐、霞多丽、雷司令，灰品乐和格乌查曼尼位于新西兰东海岸的马尔堡西部面山，是拥有全国最充足的阳光和最干燥气候的地区。阳光充足但相对凉爽的气候条件利于葡萄缓慢成长，果味成熟。夏季日均温度24°C，但是夜间清凉，可以保持葡萄的高酸度水平。
